Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information LienAlert ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using LienAlert you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address and, optionally, your name, company name, phone number, and home state.
• Job and deadline data. The project details you enter: project names, property addresses, contractor and owner names, the dates you furnished labor or materials, and contract amounts, along with the deadlines we compute from them.
• Documents. The information you enter into templates and any completed documents you store in your vault.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we store a Stripe customer identifier and your plan status.
• Usage and device data. Basic logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your information

• To compute your deadlines and send you reminders.
• To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To respond to your requests and send service-related messages.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your jobs or documents for advertising.

3. Service providers we share with

We share information only with vendors that help us run the service:

• Supabase, database, authentication, and hosting of your account and job data.
• Stripe, payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend, delivery of reminder and account emails.
• Twilio, delivery of optional text-message reminders, if you opt in.
• Google Gemini, optional formatting of the template fields you enter into clean prose. We send only the fields you provide for that document; this is never used to compute deadlines.
• Our hosting providers (such as Render and Hostinger) for application hosting and content delivery.

4. Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the service securely. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data security

Your data is protected by row-level security so that you can access only your own records, and is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

6. Data retention and your choices

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can update your information in settings, request an export, or delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your jobs, deadlines, and documents from our active systems.

7. Children

LienAlert is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 18.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
